One of Reza Ketabi Pour’s priorities is to help people from difficult social backgrounds. His underlying motivation is to preserve their dignity, promote their health and improve their life situation. All this comprises an integral part of his self-identity, his actions and what he creates. As a result, he has been involved in various social projects in Austria and abroad for many years, in particular those which aim to benefit children and the elderly. He dedicates his energy to organizations and relief projects which he would like to invite you to get to know better and support if you choose to do so.

Verein altersSTARK

The elderly need special attention and assistance. This is particularly the case in a society which is increasingly aging but does not seem to adequately take this development into account. For this reason, the name of the non-profit association, “altersSTARK" (strong in old age) is not a coincidence, but describes its agenda. Founded jointly by Dr. Andreas Stippler and Reza Ketabi Pour in Krems in the year 2007, the organization considers itself to be an initiative designed to stand up for the elderly, focus on issues affecting them and fulfill their needs. This is achieved by offering practical assistance to them in such fields as nursing, health care, medicine, social welfare and legal rights. In fact, the association has proven to be successful in many ways.

Fr. Parivash Ghassemi, Teheran

Many families and their children in Teheran face dire straits. Usually they do not have the money to purchase urgently needed medicine, go to the doctor or finance operations. Against this backdrop, the charitable work of Ms. Parivsh Ghassemi seems all the more remarkable. For years, her small private relief organization has been struggling to ensure these families receive adequate medical care, and gather donations to support many single mothers. Reza Ketabi Pour met her in 1998 during a visit to Teheran. Since this time, the two of them have not only maintained a close friendship, but have also worked together to promote many different initiatives designed to assist needy families and their children.

La Ponderosa

La Panderosa is the name of a well construction project in the Peruvian desert, founded in 2008 by Father Juan Goicochea and supported by Heidi Kalss and the International Peace Conference, which Reza Ketabi Pour belongs to. The single-mindedness with which Father Juan Goicochea is pursuing this important project is extraordinary – similar to the kindness and humility he demonstrates to all his fellow human beings. One can only hope that as many people as possible join his efforts and help promote his goals.

The objectives of the project:  

- An own water supply for each family  
- Livestock farming and agricultural production as the basis for self-subsistence
- Cultivation of local biological products
- Independence
- Future perspectives
- Ensuring the survival of this generation and subsequent ones
